Mike Gatting OBE helps Enfield youth charity, Skills for Life : Making a Difference to raise £7,786.00

At their 6th charity event at Bush Hill Park Golf Club on 21st September 2018, a golf tournament by day & dinner by night, the event was attended by Mayor of Enfield Cllr Saray Karakus,
Cllr Doug Taylor, Cllr Edward Smith, Andy Love and local businesses & community leaders.

The entertainment was provided by Enfield based choir, House of Le Touche, who created a wonderful atmosphere harmonising old and new classics.

Vijay Sujan, founder of SFL:MAD announced their new initiative, ‘MAD to carry the knife' to save lives of the young people in Enfield.

They are hoping to work with the Enfield Council, the local Police, Mayor of London Sadiq Khan and local businesses to raise funding
to provide regular mentoring & build a dedicated community centre.

SFL:MAD golf event raises £5,837.86 for unemployed young and senior adults in Enfield!

The Mayor of Enfield Cllr Bernadette Lappage welcomed guests and players in the morning.
Mr David Burrowes MP Enfield Southgate, along with Cllr Doug Taylor Leader of the Enfield Council, Mr Andy Love (Former Edmonton MP) and Cllr Edward Smith and others played a round of Golf.
The evening function included a Raffle Prize draw, an auction and a 3 course meal.
The sponsors for the day were Tottenham Hotspurs Football Club, Coca Coca, Fairview New Homes, Metaswitch Networks and Solution Euro Team

Annual cricket match scores over £1,000 for charity by Charlie Peat - Enfield Independent
A charity has hosted its third annual cricket match raising more than £1,000.
The match was part of a fundraising day for community company Making A Difference (MAD), which aims to bring young and old together to help the youth into employment.
The charity seeks over 50s who are unemployed to mentor young people and prepare them for the working world.
Enfield Southgate MP David Burrowes headed up one team and was up against founder of the charity Vijay Sujan's team at Holtwites Cricket Club, in Kirkland Drive, Enfield.Mr Burrowes team set a target of 107 to win from 15 overs.
Mr Sujan said: “We were cruising at 100 for 5 after ten overs, but Cricket is a great game as anything can happen, and it did, suddenly we lost four quick wickets, with David taking a brilliant juggling catch.”
The match ended in a tie for the first time in its three games.
